(1) The inspection design hand board is not only visible, but also touchable. It can intuitively reflect the designer's creativity in the form of physical objects, avoiding the disadvantage of "drawing is good-looking but making is not good-looking". Therefore, hand board production is essential in the process of new product development and product shape deliberation.

（2）检验结构设计因为手板是可装配的，所以它可直观的反映出结构的合理与否，安装的难易程度。便于及早发现问题，解决问题。

(2) Check the structural design. Because the hand board can be assembled, it can intuitively reflect the rationality of the structure and the difficulty of installation. It is convenient to find and solve problems as soon as possible.

（3）避免直接开模具的风险性由于模具制造的费用一般很高，比较大的模具价值数十万乃几百万，如果在开模具的过程中发现结构不合理或其他问题，其损失可想而知。而手板制作则能避免这种损失，减少开模风险。

一）按制作手段分

1） By production method

手板按照制作的手段分，可分为手工手板和数控手板：

According to the manufacturing methods, the hand board can be divided into hand board and NC hand board:

（1）手工手板：其主要工作量是用手工完成的。

(1) Manual hand board: its main workload is completed by hand.

（2）数控手板：其主要工作量是用数控机床完成的，而根据所用设备的不同，又可分为激光快速成形(RP,RapidPrototyping)手板和加工（CNC）手板。

(2) CNC hand board: its main workload is completed by CNC machine tools. According to the different equipment used, it can be divided into laser rapid prototyping (RP) hand board and machining (CNC) hand board.

手板同CNC手板相比较各有千秋：

手板的优点主要表现在它的快速性上，但是它主要是通过堆积技术成型，因而RP手板一般相对粗糙，而且对产品的壁厚有一定要求，比如说壁厚太薄便不能生产。

CNC手板的优点体现在它能非常的反映图纸所表达信息，而且CNC手板表面质量高，尤其在其完成表面喷涂和丝印后，甚比开模具后生产出来的产品还要光彩照人。因此，CNC手板制造愈来愈成为手板制造业的主流。

The advantage of CNC hand board is that it can very reflect the information expressed in the drawing, and the surface quality of CNC hand board is high, especially after its surface spraying and silk screen printing, it is even more glorious than the products produced after opening the mold. Therefore, CNC hand board manufacturing has increasingly become the mainstream of hand board manufacturing industry.
